Summary of Professional Experiences:  

Emily has been in the education field for 17 years. She began her career as a kindergarten teacher in Bloomington Public Schools, and has also taught second and fourth grades. For the past five years, she has been a Literacy Coach in Bloomington, specializing in supporting teachers in their structured literacy and phonics instruction.  She is excited to join the TCEC team this year and support our youngest learners in early intervention!

Personal Information:

Emily was born and raised in Minnesota and enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She frequently is cheering on her kids at the softball field, and trying to sneak in some snowboarding when there is time. Her favorite thing to do is travel to warm destinations, ideally near an ocean so she can scuba dive. Emily also enjoys going to concerts and spoiling her Golden Retriever, Kirby.

Emily can help support students, teachers and families through working with learners under the categories of Developmental Delay and Learning Disabilities. She specializes in educating young learners through targeted instruction. Emily can also support schools in providing a structured and systematic progression of programming and intervention. She loves collaborating with others, always with the goal of what is best for kids in mind.
