STAFF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
Twin Cities Education Consultants has an expert team of special education and general education licensed contractors available to provide specialized staff development in several areas including, but not limited to:
AUTISM CONSULTATION SUPPORT
Our autism specialists are experts in understanding autism characteristics and needs. They will support your general education and special education teachers with best practices to engage students with autism in the classroom.
TEACHER SUPPORT SERVICES
Our special education and general education staff are available to support your teachers with classroom observations and modeling, including classroom management, classroom engagement, and instructional coaching.
Our special education staff are experts in due process and can provide in-depth or refresher training to ensure your systems are working effectively and within the state parameters. This can be accomplished by providing group training or individual coaching to support your special education staff. In addition, our staff are available to complete due process, freeing up time for your teachers to provide direct service to students.
TCEC staff are available to review your intervention/MTSS process, to meet with your intervention team, and to ensure that the system is functioning at high levels to increase student achievement and behavior success.
Let our special education and general education team of consultants support your teachers with instructional coaching. These coaching opportunities may include 1:1 sessions with teachers to identify goals, evaluate lessons and instruction, provide feedback, and determine action for continued professional growth and development. Our staff can model instructional and behavioral strategies, and support positive and caring classroom management strategies and environments.
At TCEC, our classroom management consultants help teachers make the necessary adjustments to create an efficient and optimal learning environment for students. The following areas are analyzed and may be adjusted: academic and support visuals, flow and function of the space, physical layout of the classroom, teacher’s approach to students’ learning, materials used in the classroom, and student’s needs.
