Summary of Professional Experiences:
Maria has been in the education field for 18 years. Initially, Maria was a toddler teacher and curriculum coordinator in a daycare setting for 9 years. After leaving the daycare field, she became a paraprofessional for 3 years in a multicategorical inclusive classroom where she supported students who were significantly impacted by their disabilities. Maria joined TCEC in 2019 in the role of Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (ECSE)/ Developmental Delay (DD) Consultant to provide special education support services within charter schools.

Personal Information:
Maria was born and raised in Minnesota. She currently lives in Somerset, WI with her husband and 3 rescue dogs. Maria and her husband enjoy going to hockey games (Go Wild!), watching European Futbol, especially Real Madrid, and working on projects around their home. In her spare time, Maria enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and traveling to Spain to see her family. Additionally, a fun fact is that Maria is also a licensed esthetician.
