Summary of Professional Experiences:
Maria has been in the education field for 15 years. Initially, Maria was a toddler teacher in a daycare setting for 9 years. After leaving the daycare field, she became a paraprofessional for 3 years in a multicategorical inclusive classroom where she supported students who were significantly impacted by their disabilities. Maria joined TCEC in 2019 in the role of Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (ECSE)/ Developmental Delay (DD) Consultant to provide special education support services within charter schools.
Maria was born and raised in Minnesota and currently lives in Blaine with her husband and 3 rescue dogs with special needs. Maria and her husband enjoy going to hockey games (Go Wild!) and watching European Futbol, especially Real Madrid. In her spare time, Maria enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and traveling to Spain to see her family.
