Summary of Professional Experiences: 

Kelly has been working in the field of special education for over 20 years. Her career began as a paraprofessional supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities. Upon receiving her teaching license, Kelly began working as a Special Education Teacher with a multi-categorical population of students. Kelly evolved into the role of Special Education Coordinator and obtained her Special Education Director license. Since 2019, Kelly has supported a variety of charter schools working as a Due Process Specialist and Special Education Director. She is passionate about supporting students, families, and school communities.

Kelly joined TCEC as a K-12 Special Education Consultant in 2022. Her expertise includes coordinating and facilitating child study meetings, assisting the school team in completion of due process paperwork, including evaluation reports and IEPs, and mentoring special education teachers. Kelly has supported schools in providing oversight of teacher and paraprofessional schedules, conducting staff evaluations, developing and monitoring Section 504 plans, assisting schools with maintaining compliance, and establishing positive rapport and relationships with schools and families. 


​Personal Information:
Kelly was born and raised in Minnesota. She has been married for 17 years to her husband, Jono. They have 2 children together, Colin (16) and Whitney (13). Kelly enjoys spending time outdoors and going on family vacations.

Kelly can provide a broad range of support based on the individual needs of the schools. She will collaborate with your team to identify areas of service needed and desired. This may include due process support, evaluation coordination and completion, teacher coaching, and program development and monitoring. Within the variety of support provided, Kelly will strive to help school teams in ensuring a positive experience while enhancing student success!
